Editorial Photoshoot Direction
Directed and art directed editorial photoshoots that earned the Best Photograph award. Each shoot was carefully planned with mood boards, lighting concepts, and detailed styling briefs.
Plan
- Created detailed mood boards drawing from fine art and editorial references
- Developed lighting diagrams and location scouting notes for each concept
- Briefed photographers, stylists, and MUAs with a unified visual direction
- Selected and retouched final selects for print and digital submission
Strategy
- Prioritised authentic, unretouched skin and natural light to contrast over-produced industry norms
- Submitted to competitions with strong conceptual narratives to stand out from technical-only entries
- Archived every shoot into a structured portfolio for future brand pitches
